Andrea Ranocchia had a very mixed performance for Inter against Empoli in the 3-2 Coppa Italia victory on Wednesday night at San Siro according to a report in the Italian media today.
As has been reported by L’Interista today, multiple Italian sports news outlets highlighted the fact that Andrea Ranocchia had not been playing very well for Inter throughout the match against Empoli.
He then popped up in the opposition box in stoppage time at the end of the 90 minutes and scored a wonderful goal that the best strikers in the world would be proud of.
That let Inter go to extra time where their strength and depth meant that Stefano Sensi could score the winning goal and secure safe passage to the next round.
La Gazzetta dello Sport gave Andrea Ranocchia a rating of seven out of 10 whilst Corriere dello Sport, L’Interista, and TMW all gave him a rating of 6.5 out of 10.
