Andrea Ranocchia could still sign a contract extension with Inter but a decision will not be made on his future until the end of the season, according to a report in the Italian media.

As has been reported by Calciomercato.com, the Italian defender appears to be doing enough right now for the club to be considering offering him a new contract that will extend his stay at the club for presumably another season.

This is the same situation that the former Hull City defender was in coming into the current campaign. His contract was expiring but he came to an agreement with the club to stay.

There is no suggestion from the player that he wants to leave and he has had a steady level of involvement in the team this season under Simone Inzaghi.

He also scored a wonderful acrobatic goal against Empoli in the Coppa Italia earlier this week.
