Inter have decided they do not need to make an emergency signing of a striker in January as a reaction to the thigh injury sustained by Joaquin Correa, according to a report in the Italian print media today.

As has been reported by Tuttosport, an emergency meeting was held after the Empoli match in the Coppa Italia on Wednesday night at San Siro between sporting CEO Beppe Marotta, sporting director Piero Ausilio, and Simone Inzaghi.

The plan of action is to keep Stefano Sensi at the club and hope Joaquin Correa recovers from his thigh injury relatively quickly, rather than rushing into the market for a player like Felipe Caicedo from Genoa.

The Argentine striker may only be absent for the matches against Venezia and AC Milan but further tests are being carried out today to understand the full extent of the thigh injury that had the striker leaving the pitch in tears.
