Inter goalkeeper Andrei Radu has opened up about his connection to the Nerazzurri and the emotions of lifting trophies with Inter, according to a report in the Italian media.

Speaking during an interview with the official Inter club channels, via FCInternews, the backup goalkeeper explained how unified the current group at Inter is and how it made him emotional to lift the Scudetto last year and the Supercoppa Italiana trophy in recent weeks.

“We are a very united group, there is good communication between us and we understand each other immediately. I am tied to everyone. Raising the Scudetto and the Super Cup was a great emotion.

From the victory of the Coppa Italia Primavera to the Suprcoppa, in the same dressing room at San Siro, both with an incredible goal against Juventus at the last minute.”

Andrei Radu also opened up about his relationship with Inter as a whole having spent many years at the club and coming through the youth academy.

“For me Inter is everything, I grew up here, in this place I have many memories. With all the groups in the Youth Sector, every year I have experienced something unique, on and off the pitch: every day I feel proud to be here.”

The Coppa Italia match against Empoli on Wednesday night was Andrei Radu’s first appearance of the season for Inter under Simone Inzaghi as Samir Handanovic is definitively ahead of him in the pecking order at the Nerazzurri.

The goalkeeper will be hoping that he is chosen when Inter face AS Roma in the next round.
