Inter defender Aleksandar Kolarov could decide to retire from football this month, and could join the Nerazzurri’s coaching staff if he does so.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who report that the 36-year-old is considering transitioning to a different role at the Nerazzurri.

Kolarov has found very little playing time this season, as persistent injuries have made it difficult for him to find any kind of form or rhythm even when he is available.

However, the Serb has still had a role to play on the training ground, and could decide to stay on in a new capacity even if he decides that it is time to end his playing career.

Should Kolarov officially hang up his boots, then it remains to be seen how the Nerazzurri would decide to make up for his absence with a new signing in the transfer market, if at all.
