Cagliari CEO Mario Passetti On Inter Target Nahitan Nandez: “Not Planning To Let Him Leave In January”

Inter-linked Cagliari midfielder Nahitan Nandez is not likely to be departing from his club during the last week of the January transfer window.
This according to Rossoblu CEO Mario Passetti, who spoke to the press, as reported by FCInterNews, and was clear that the club have no intention of parting ways with the 25-year-old.
Nandez has been one of the main transfer targets for the Nerazzurri since last summer’s transfer window, with the versatile Uruguayan identified as a player who could be used both in wide areas and in central midfield.
The 25-year-old had looked close to a move to the Nerazzurri in the summer before talks broke down with the Rossoblu and he remained in Sardinia, while they have reportedly also been considering him as an option this month.
However, Cagliari have every intention of keeping a hold of Nandez for the rest of the season at least, and he is not likely to move to Inter.
Asked about Nandez and a possible departure, Passetti stated that “We’re not planning for any departures in that position, and if he does then he will be adequately replaced.”
