Inter defender Milan Skriniar never really settled in yesterday’s Serie A win over Venezia, according to Italian media.
As Italian news outlet L’Interista note, the 26-year-old received mediocre grades across the board for his shaky display in the player ratings for the match across Italian media.
Skriniar has usually been a dependable presence at the back for the Nerazzurri this campaign, but his poor marking of Venezia striker Thomas Henry was what allowed the Frenchman to head home from Ethan Ampadu’s cross for the opener.
The visitors didn’t see much of the ball at the San Siro, but in the crucial moments when they did Skriniar didn’t do enough to prevent them from creating danger, especially on their goal.
All three of the Gazzetta dello Sport, the Corriere dello Sport, and L’Interista felt that especially due to this marking error the Slovak defender’s performance was only worthy of a 5/10 grade, while TuttoMercatoWeb awarded him a slightly kinder score of 5.5/10.
