Leicester City’s Timothy Castagne and RB Leipzig’s Angelino are two of the players who have been proposed to Inter in their search for a left-sided player to back up Ivan Perisic.
However, neither of the pair look likely to be allowed to leave on loan during the January transfer window by their clubs, according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.
The Nerazzurri are continuing to seriously target a player who can deputize for Perisic over the rest of the season, especially given that the Croat could be trusted to play in attack at times with the forward options light while Joaquin Correa is injured.
Castagne has significant experience in Serie A with Atalanta, while Angelino has the right profile to play in the position in Simone Inzaghi’s system effectively.
However, both players could be difficult for Inter to sign, who are only interested in bringing a player in on an initial loan during the window.
