Former Lazio midfielder Marco Parolo feels that his old coach Simone Inzaghi has done an exceptional job at shaping this Inter team.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster DAZN, the 36-year-old spoke highly of the work done by the former Biancocelesti boss since arriving in the summer to build an effective team that functions well as a unit.

The Nerazzurri put their faith in Inzaghi to take up a successful team from last season in the absence of departed head coach Antonio Conte, and the 45-year-old had to work without several key players from last campaign who followed Conte out the exit door.

However, the current manager has managed to keep the team on track in terms of the quality of their performances on the pitch as well as the results.

Parolo gives his former coach full credit for the way that he’s managed to instill his ideas throughout the entire team.

“He’s a great coach,” he said of Inzaghi, noting that recent comments by striker Edin Dzeko about the team spirit were “A sign of the team spirit at Inter, which has been instilled by the coach.”

Parolo further noted that “Not one player in the team who speaks negatively, Even Sanchez has shown to be happy with the role that he’s been given.”

He predicted that “Lukaku would have done as well as Dzeko is doing, Simone has caused the team to play higher up the pitch but he also allows them to counterattack, it gives them more options.”
