Inter are considering reintegrating young striker Eddie Salcedo into the squad following his return from Spezia where his loan has been cut short.
This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the 20-year-old is a serious option for the Nerazzurri as they look to bolster their attack before the January transfer window shuts.
The injury to Joaquin Correa has meant that Inter will look to add a forward to their squad, as the Argentine’s absence will leave the team with three senior forwards, and even then the availability of these players can hardly be guaranteed.
The club have been considering their options for new signings on loan or at a low cost, in the remaining days of the window.
However, they could also decide to put their faith in Salcedo as part of the attacking rotation for the rest of the season rather than bringing in a new signing, and this is a serious consideration.
