Inter are still awaiting a final judgment on when their Serie A clash with Bologna will be postponed until, and the match could be held on a date in April.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper La Repubblica, who report that the Lega Serie A has not yet set a date as they are waiting for the results of the Nerazzurri’s appeal regarding the initial presumptive date of February 23.

Inter’s scheduled match against Bologna on January 6 was unable to go ahead due to COVID cases within the Rossoblu’s squad, but it has always been clear that rather than awarding the Nerazzurri a 3-0 win by forfeiture, the match would instead be moved to another date.

The normal regulatory procedure in situations of this nature would be to move the match to the next available date in the calendar, which would have been February 23.

However, this would be a difficult fixture for the Nerazzurri to fulfill given their congested calendar, and they immediately appealed to move the match to a different date.

The Lega has yet to settle on a final date for the fixture to be played, but it looks likely to be some time in April.
