Ex-Nerazzurri Striker Nicola Ventola: “It’s Fine To Win Late Like Inter Did Against Venezia”

Inter striker Nicola Ventola believes that Inter’s late win against Venezia was a reasonable result and performance from the team even though they laboured at times.
Speaking on Christian Vieri’s Twitch stream, as reported by FCInterNews, Ventola emphasized that the last-ditch win was fine because it showed that the team can dig three points out from difficult circumstances.
The Nerazzurri left it late to take three points against a dogged and organized Venezia side, but in the end they managed it with a well-taken late header by Edin Dzeko from a lovely lofted Denzel Dumfries cross.
The team were not at their scintillating best and had mostly looked a little off the pace needed to create the telling chance for the winner against an organized opponent, but then in the end one chance was all it took.
Ventola was happy with what he saw from the Nerazzurri and felt that they showed what they needed to.
“It was a game short on quality, but Inter showed that they can stick to the right track,” he said. “Even with the audience getting restless as they failed to play at their best, they won and I think it’s fine to win like this.”
