Inter assistant coach Massimiliano Farris will lead training during the international break for as long as head coach Simone Inzaghi is out with COVID-19.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who report that Inzaghi will entrust the role of heading up the squad preparations to his main lieutenant while he recovers.

Inzaghi tested positive for COVID this week and, for now, must self-isolate while he remains positive for the virus, though it remains to be seen how long this will be.

The coach is not reported to have shown any significant symptoms, and the club will hope that his recovery can be speedy and that he will soon yield all the proper negative tests necessary to return to work within their health precautions.

For the time being, however, it is Farris who is given the task of leading the training sessions in person while the head coach is unable to.
