Inter could look to sell defender Stefan de Vrij this summer, in order to monetize his departure while they can.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the Nerazzurri could allow a defender to leave for the right price and that de Vrij is the likeliest candidate.

De Vrij’s current deal is set to expire at the end of June 2023, and no agreement has yet been found on an extension for the Dutchman.

De Vrij turns 30 in February, and the club could feel that now is the right time to cash in on him should the right offer arrive for him, especially if a new contract is not agreed.

In the event that de Vrij is sold, the Nerazzurri have lined up Torino defender Bremer as their preferred replacement for him in the backline, while Lazio’s Luiz Felipe is also a consideration on a free transfer.
