Inter are aiming to renew with defender Milan Skriniar well before the end of the season, sometime in March.

This according to Italian news outlet FCInterNews, who report that the Nerazzurri will look to finalize a new four-year deal running until the end of June 2026 sometime before the end of March.

Skriniar’s current deal is set to expire at the end of June 2023, and the club are aiming to have his contract situation resolved in due course to avoid going into the final season of his deal without a new contract in place.

There is no hurry as the will of both the club and the player is to stay on together, but they will start talks in the coming weeks in the hopes of getting the agreement wrapped up by the end of March.

The club are set to agree a deal worth around €4.5 million net per season plus add-ons until the end of June 2026.
