Former Venezia player Sergio Volpi has said that Inter are the favourites to win the Scudetto but Napoli and AC Milan will push them to the end, according to a report in the Italian broadcast media today.
Speaking during an interview with Radio Marte, via FCInternews, Sergio Volpi explained that the current top three in the Serie A table will be the teams fighting for the Serie A title until the end.
He also feels that the exploits of each team in the January transfer window will play a big part in the situation.
“I start from the assumption that the favourite is Inter, but I see Milan and Napoli fighting until the end. The next matches will say a lot. As for transfer market operations in January, it is always difficult to judge, they can go well or create problems elsewhere.”
Inter are currently four points ahead of Napoli who are in second place and the Nerazzurri also has a game in hand after their match against Bologna in December was postponed due to a Covid-19 outbreak.
They will be facing AC Milan in their next Serie A fixture and the result of that game could be pivotal for both teams.
