Matias Vecino will be back in Inter training earlier than expected after a yellow card means he will be suspended for Uruguay’s next match, according to a report in the Italian media today.

As has been reported today by FCInter1908, the Uruguayan midfielder was playing against Paraguay in a World Cup qualifier last night when he received a booking in the 43rd minute.

That means he now has acquired too many yellow cards in the qualification games and will be suspended for the match against Venezuela early next week.

Therefore, he can return to training with Inter and focus on the team’s preparations for the Derby della Madonnina against AC Milan which is on February 5.

Uruguay won the match 1-0 which keeps their hopes of qualifying for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar alive, despite a very difficult qualification campaign so far that has left many wondering if they will not make it.
