Inter have identified Genoa wing-back Andrea Cambiaso as a long-term replacement for Ivan Perisic should he not renew his contract at the end of the season.

This according to Italian journalist Niccolo Ceccarini in his column for TuttoMercatoWeb, who report that the Nerazzurri will move for the 21-year-old should they not be able to agree on a contract extension with Perisic.

The Nerazzurri have completed the signing of Robin Gosens from Atalanta to reinforce the left wing-back position, but they are still aiming to renew with Perisic.

Should they be unable to do so, the club will go in search of a replacement in the position who can compete with Gosens, with Federico Dimarco seen as primarily an option at centre-back in the long term.

According to Ceccarini, Cambiaso’s name is at the top of the Nerazzurri’s list of possible signings in the position, though he would only be targeted if talks with Perisic starting next month cannot result in a new deal.
