Inter will not appeal the two-match suspension handed to midfielder Nicolo Barella in the Champions League.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the Nerazzurri will accept the suspension of the player through both legs of their round of sixteen clash with Liverpool.

Barella was already guaranteed to miss at least the first leg of the knockout tie against Liverpool following his straight red card against Real Madrid in the final group stage match.

However, yesterday it was confirmed that in addition to this, the 24-year-old will also miss the second leg, as UEFA confirmed to the club that he will be suspended for two matches due to the nature of the incident that saw him sent off.

The club will fine Barella for his actions in getting himself sent off and in so doing disqualified for the crucial tie against the Reds.
