AC Milan midfielder Franck Kessie is set to start in the Milan derby against Inter after returning from the African Cup of Nations with the Cote D’Ivoire.

This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, who report that the 25-year-old is all set to be in the Rossoneri’s starting eleven for the massive derby clash.

The Nerazzurri face their city rivals in the first match back from the international break on Saturday, and both sides will be aware of the potential Scudetto implications of the match.

Milan head coach Stefano Pioli will want to play his strongest possible team, and he will be glad to have a key midfielder back in the fold in the form of Kessie.

The Ivorian had been one of the players who Pioli had to do without during the African Cup of Nations, but with his country knocked out by Egypt on penalties, he has returned and should be ready for the derby.
