Inter will extend the contract of head coach Simone Inzaghi during the spring once they get other key renewals among the playing squad out of the way.
This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who report that the Nerazzurri have no doubt about handing the coach a new deal to reward his performance over his first season with the club.
Inzaghi initially joined the Nerazzurri on a two-year deal when he made the switch from Lazio to take over from Antonio Conte at the beginning of last summer.
However, the 45-year-old’s work over his first campaign in charge has fully convinced the club to reward him with a new deal going forward.
The club and the coach are not in any rush to get the agreement wrapped up, but they should get the agreement done some time during the spring, with President Steven Zhang and the club directors ready to get it done.
