Inter CEO Beppe Marotta is hoping to get the deal for Sassuolo striker Gianluca Scamacca in the summer wrapped up within the next few weeks.

This according to Italian broadcaster SportMediaset, who report that the Nerazzurri are the only club in pole position to sign the 22-year-old, and that Marotta is aiming for a two-year loan with a purchase obligation.

Scamacca has emerged as the Nerazzurri’s primary target to reinforce their attack in the long term, and the club are aiming to sign him during the summer transfer window.

With Juventus having signed Dusan Vlahovic it looks unlikely that they would consider a move for Scamacca, meaning that the Nerazzurri are now in the driver’s seat to move for his signature.

Marotta is hoping to get the deal done for Scamacca early, and is trying to work out an initial two-year loan deal containing a purchase obligation similar to the one by which Juventus signed Manuel Locatelli last summer.

The Nerazzurri CEO wants to get things wrapped up within the next few weeks.
