Italian agent Dario Canovi believes that Inter have made a significant addition by signing Robin Gosens from Atalanta.
Speaking to Italian news outlet TuttoMercatoWeb, the agent named Gosens as the best wing-back in all of Serie A, and suggested that he is the ideal long-term solution to the position for the Nerazzurri.
Inter had been linked with a number of players during the January transfer window as they searched for a left-sided player to back up Ivan Perisic as well as potentially succeed the 32-year-old in the role in the long term.
In the event, the Nerazzurri managed to make a deal for one of the most accomplished, prolific wide players in Serie A, and at 27 years of age someone who can be expected to be relied on for seasons to come.
Canovi is a big fan of the deal, and feels that Inter have pulled off a real coup by signing the German.
“Gosens is the best left wing-back playing in Italy right now,” he said. “Inter are preparing to replace Perisic with a player of the same quality.”
