Former Lazio midfielder Marco Parolo feels that Inter coach Simone Inzaghi has a natural ability to communicate with and get the best out of players.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster DAZN, the 36-year-old highlighted his former coach’s understanding of players and how he can instill his footballing ideas into players.

Inzaghi has made a very quick impact at Inter since joining from the Biancocelesti last summer, transitioning the team towards a more proactive and possession-based style of play.

The squad appear to react well to the ideas and instructions of their coach, who was himself a player for many years, having been a striker for Lazio and even winning the Scudetto with the Biancocelesti.

Parolo had the experience of playing under Inzaghi for several seasons at Lazio, and feels that the coach has a kind of instinctive knack for dealing with players and getting them into their best form.

According to Parolo, Inzaghi “Is a master of managing the squad, in a way that is very instinctive. He’s at his best when he goes with his gut and strikes a chord naturally that makes you want to give something extra.”

“He has evolved over the years,” the former midfielder went on, “he has been able to grasp the innovations within the world of football, and made them his own in trying to complete his own game.”

“It’s not a coincidence that, each season, his teams add something on a tactical level,” he added.
