Right now Inter-linked wing-back Andrea Cambiaso is fully committed to his current club Genoa, but his future could well be away from the Ligurian club.

This according to his agent Giovanni Bia, who spoke to Italian broadcaster TMW Sport about the 21-year-old’s situation and reiterated his commitment to boyhood club while also leaving the door to a move in the summer.

Cambiaso has been a breakout player for the Griffone this campaign, enjoying a very impressive individual season even as his team have dropped into the relegation places of the Serie A table.

The wing-back’s form has marked him out as a target for the Nerazzurri as well as a number of other top clubs in Italian football.

As his agent explained, the player feels a strong attachment to Genoa and right now his only focus is on helping keep his boyhood club safe in Serie A, but at the same time he could consider his options in the summer.

“We’ll see, the situation is clear,” he said. “Genoa understandably had no intention of listening to offers this month, given that he’s a Genoese boy who was in the Curva growing up and wants to help his team avoid relegation.”

“In June, we’ll see what happens, it’s not a secret that there are clubs who want him,” he continued. “We hope things go well and then we’ll evaluation our options.”
