AS Roma midfielder Lorenzo Pellegrini is hoping to have recovered from his injury in time for the Coppa Italia clash against Inter next week, according to a report in the Italian media today.

As has been reported by FCInternews today, the Italian midfielder appears to have returned to training this week as shown by pictures published by AS Roma.

He has been out for a long spell after suffering a quadriceps injury and Jose Mourinho will be thrilled to know that one of his most influential players is close to returning to the starting eleven.

It seems unlikely that he will be fit in time to face Genoa on Saturday for the Giallorossi but the aim will certainly be to have him at least in the squad for the Coppa Italia match against Inter next Tuesday.

Inter beat Empoli in extra time in the previous round in order to set up the tie with AS Roma.
