Inter defender Alessandro Bastoni has said that he and Ivan Perisic have developed a great understanding down the left side of the pitch, according to a report in the Italian broadcast media.

Speaking during an interview with DAZN, via FCInternews, the Italian defender revealed that he has fun playing on the left side with the Croatian winger.

“The understanding that Ivan and I  are creating this year is great, we have a lot of fun.”

Inter are facing AC Milan in the Derby della Madonnina on Saturday evening and Alessandro Bastoni took a number of questions about the current AC Milan squad.

When asked about Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Alessandro Bastoni explained that it is odd to play against him given he admired him when he was a young boy.

“I admired him when I was 10-11, so it’s weird. But when you’re on the pitch you don’t have to look anyone in the face and you do your best to cancel these players, especially in a derby.”

When asked who the fastest player on the pitch will be in the derby, he chose Theo Hernandez and for the most difficult to mark, he chose Rafael Leao.

For who will be the most decisive players, he chose Nicolo Barella and himself.

The defender was also asked which game was the best of his career, to which he said: “Inter-Juve, the one with the assist to Nicolo Barella.”

In terms of a game that he would like to remove from his memory, he said: “With Juve, in the Italian Cup, when I gave Ronaldo the goal.”

Many players swap shirts with opponents after games and Alessandro Bastoni revealed that he first swapped with Giorgio Chiellini.

“The first one I asked for was Chiellini’s after a Juventus-Atalanta match in the Italian Cup.”

When asked if he would swap with a Milan player this weekend, he said: “There are many good players at Milan, it’s a quality team. But the group we created here at Inter surpasses these things, so I keep all mine.”
