Italian journalist Mario Sconcerti has said that Inter are undeniably better than AC Milan right now and praised the development of Hakan Calhanoglu, according to a report in the Italian media today.
Speaking during an interview with FCInter1908, Mario Sconcerti said that Inter are the most impressive of the two Milan sides on paper and showed how thrilled he is by the form of Hakan Calhanolgu since he swapped the Rossoneri for the Nerazzurri.
“Undeniably Inter. Darmian has confirmed himself at high levels. Every year he is given as a starter, then he turns out to be one of the best. And Calhanoglu, what a player! Inzaghi has improved him considerably on a tactical level.”
When asked what kind of Derby della Madonnina it is likely to be at San Siro on Saturday evening, Mario Sconcerti said that he does not think it will be decisive for the championship.
“I don’t think it’s decisive for the championship. What do I expect? Historically, Inter and Milan have been the same in derbies.”
Mario Sconcerti was also asked of Inter can sign Paulo Dybala from Juventus in the summer. He said: “On a tactical level, Dybala and Lautaro would be a perfect duo. But I don’t know if Juve won’t renew him. Buying a replacement for Dybala would cost Juventus more than renewing him.”
When discussing the transfer market that has just ended, he said that Inter have done an excellent job with their business.
“Inter have had, without a doubt, an excellent transfer market. Gosens is a competitive winger, experienced and – above all – already tested in the Champions League. Positive balance.
“The team has shrunk where it could. For example, there was to get rid of Sensi and we got rid of Sensi. Good there too.”
He was also asked why Inter and Juventus have made moves and AC Milan remained very quiet. He said: “Technically neither Inter nor Juve has already paid. The payment of the purchased players must be considered diluted over the years. The budgets are not made in the middle of the year. Milan obviously had a certain budget and decided not to go over it.”
