Spezia forward Daniele Verde has said that Napoli, Inter, and AC Milan are likely to be the three teams fighting it out for the Scudetto this season, according to a report in the Italian broadcast media today.
Speaking during an interview with 1 Station Radio, via FCInter1908, the Italian forward was asked who he thinks the favourite is to win the Serie A title this season.
He clearly feels that plenty of teams are in the running to win the title but he whittled it down to three teams, Inter being one of them.
“The favourite? For me there are many, close to Napoli there are Inter and Milan, so there are three or four teams that can play for it.”
The possible inclusion of a fourth team suggests he back either Atalanta or Juventus to hit a good patch of form in the second half of the season and get involved more closely with the three leading teams.
Inter currently sits four points ahead of Napoli at the top of the table with a game in hand.
