AC Milan will not be able to count on Zlatan Ibrahimovic from the start against Inter on Saturday but Fikayo Tomori could return to the bench, according to a report in the Italian broadcast media.

As has been reported by Sky Sport in Italy, via FCInter1908, the Swedish striker did not train with the rest of the squad today which suggests he will not be fit enough to start the Derby della Madonnina against his old team.

That means that French striker Olivier Giroud is expected to lead the line for the Rossoneri on Saturday evening.

The better news for Stefano Pioli is that English defender Fikayo Tomori trained with the group at Marinello today which is a step forward in his recovery.

He is still very unlikely to be able to start the game but the chances of him being on the bench and available are increasing very quickly.
