Italian journalist Antonio Di Gennaro has said that Inter have strengthened during the transfer window and AC Milan have more to risk during the derby on Saturday, according to a report in the Italian media.

Speaking during an interview with TMW Radio, Antonio Di Gennaro explained that AC Milan have declined since Danish defender Simon Kjaer suffered a serious injury and Inter have strengthened by signing Robin Gosens from Atalanta.

“Milan in defence had some decline after the injury to Kjaer who was a true leader. Inter, on the other hand, has been strengthened again, we have seen their strategy: open discussions with Perisic for the renewal, then they signed Gosens.”

He then went on to say that AC Milan have got more risk involved when they face Inter on Saturday evening due to the fact they are four points behind Inter right now but they also could be without Zlatan Ibrahimovic and a host of defensive options.

“Milan risks more and not just for the classification: it will be necessary to understand if and how Ibra will recover and if they will still have defensive problems.”

Inter are seen as the favourites for the match due to the strength in depth that they have and their lack of major injuries other than Robin Gosens and Joaquin Correa who will be out for a while.
