Inter striker Lautaro Martinez has impressed Simone Inzaghi with how well he has recovered from playing for Argentina earlier in the week, according to a report in the Italian media today.

As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport today, Lautaro Martinez returned to Appiano Gentile promptly after his last match for Argentina in which he scored and has shown no clear signs of fatigue in training.

That is why he is expected to start the match tomorrow evening against AC Milan instead of Alexis Sanchez who was not able to return to Milan until late on Thursday night due to connecting flights.

It is expected that he will start the Coppa Italia match against AS Roma next week instead, with Edin Dzeko likely to play in both matches as he continues to defy his age.

He had no international matches so has been able to recover more effectively than most.
