Denzel Dumfries looks set to start ahead of Matteo Darmian on the right side for Inter in this evening’s Serie A derby clash with AC Milan.
This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who include the Dutchman in their predicted starting eleven for the massive derby clash, and also report that Lautaro Martinez will start in attack.
Nerazzurri coach Simone Inzaghi will look to play his strongest possible eleven against the Rossoneri, and the right wing-back position is the only real doubt for the coach.
Milan have a significant threat down their left side in the form of Theo Hernandez and Rafael Leao and the coach will be mindful of setting up to negate it, and Dumfries looks to be the favourite.
Meanwhile, Martinez is ready to play from the start and should be selected ahead of Alexis Sanchez in attack.
The Gazzetta’s complete starting eleven for the match is as follows:
INTER (3-5-2): Handanovic; Skriniar, De Vrij, Bastoni; Dumfries, Barella, Brozovic, Calhanoglu, Perisic; Dzeko, Lautaro.
