Former Juventus striker Fabrizio Ravenelli feels that at the moment, Inter are the stronger team than their derby rivals AC Milan.

Speaking to Italian  broadcaster SportItalia ahead of this evening’s derby clash, the former striker gave the view that it is the Nerazzurri who head into the match the side with more quality to get the better of the match than their city rivals.

Inter will know that the derby is never a match decided by the form table or a straightforward task, and they will be wary of the fact that the Rossoneri are a confident side with considerable quality in a match that could have significant Scudetto implications.

However, the Nerazzurri also come into the match four points ahead of their city rivals with a game in hand, and this has been the result of superior form, especially over the past few months.

Ravanelli has no doubt that at least in terms of the form that they’ve shown, the Nerazzurri are the stronger of the two Milan teams right now.

“On paper, Inter should win, because Milan also have many issues with their squad,” Ravanelli stated. “Looking at the teams available, they can’t boast the same strength as Inter in defense and midfield.”

“Tonali and Bennacer don’t have the same strength as Inter’s midfielders in terms of their physicality in duels,” he added.

As for a tactical prediction, the former Bianconeri striker said that “Kessie working to stop Brozovic could be a solution.”

He closed by saying that “A win against Milan can never be taken for granted, even if they are wounded.”
