Inter cannot afford to become preoccupied after their 2-1 loss to AC Milan in the derby yesterday evening, and must immediately get back on track with several important games to come immediately.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who highlight the need for the Nerazzurri to swiftly recover from the psychological blow of falling to defeat against their city rivals.

Inter had looked confident for much of yesterday’s derby clash, but a late collapse saw them surrender a 1-0 lead and allow the Rossoneri to take three points to draw within a point of them at the top, albeit with the Nerazzurri having a game in hand.

The defeat will undoubtedly sting for Inter, but they risk things getting much worse if they hang their heads rather than immediately putting this setback behind them.

A Coppa Italia clash with Roma awaits them during the week, before massive matches against Napoli and Liverpool in Serie A and the Champions League respectively.

If the Nerazzurri can recover mentally and get the results they need from these games, then they will put the loss to their city rivals behind them.

On the other hand, being weighed down by negative emotions during the rest of this key period of the season could cause the Nerazzurri’s problems to be compounded significantly.
