Inter midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu gave a good account of himself against former side AC Milan for the second time this season, putting in a good display despite the eventual 2-1 loss in yesterday evening’s derby.

This was reflected in the player ratings for the match across Italian match, as reported by L’Interista, where the 27-year-old was roundly praised for a performance that was effective on both sides of the ball.

Calhanoglu had impressed in the first Serie A derby of the season, and once again yesterday he put in a good shift against his former team Milan.

The Turk worked hard in the Mezzala role, but was also a key creative outlet moving his team up the pitch.

During the second half, a tiring Calhanoglu was withdrawn for Arturo Vidal, and this roughly coincided with the loss of composure which saw the Nerazzurri throw away a lead to lose the match 2-1.

For his efforts, the midfielder received a 6/10 score from Tuttosport, a 6.5/10 from the Corriere dello Sport and TuttoMercatoWeb, and 7/10 grades from the likes of the Gazzetta dello Sport and L’Interista.
