Inter captain Samir Handanovic was the Nerazzurri’s worst performer in yesterday’s 2-1 loss to AC Milan in the derby, while Ivan Perisic gave the best account of himself.
This according to Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who awarded Perisic a 7.5/10 grade for his display in the match in the player ratings published in today’s print edition, but only gave the captain a score of 5/10.
Handanovic had not been called into action much during the match as the Nerazzurri mostly kept the Rossoneri at bay and kept their city rivals from registering a shot on target apart from a long-range effort by Sandro Tonali.
However, when it mattered, captain Handanovic didn’t do much to keep out Olivier Giroud’s second and decisive goal, an effort which looked like it would have been savable.
Meanwhile, goal-scorer Perisic was given a 7.5/10 grade for his energetic and tactically astute display on both displays, while his right-sided counterpart Denzel Dumfries scored just below him with 7/10.
