Inter captain Samir Handanovic, and defender Stefan de Vrij, both let their team down with their errors late on in yesterday’s 2-1 loss to AC Milan in the derby.
This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who gave both players failing grades of 4.5/10 for their displays in the player ratings for the match in today’s print edition.
The Nerazzurri were already starting to lose control of the game when Olivier Giroud equalized, and de Vrij was part of a switching-off by the entire defense to allow the Frenchman to get a finish away.
The Dutchman looked even worse on Giroud’s second goal, unable to prevent the striker from turning quickly and getting a shot away, while Handanovic looked helpless as he dove in the way of the shot but was unable to prevent it from going straight through his hands.
Meanwhile, Tuttosport were much more complimentary of Croatian duo Ivan Perisic and Marcelo Brozovic, awarding both a solid 7/10 grade for their effort despite being on the losing side.
