Inter coach Simone Inzaghi has been given a one-match ban, and Alessandro Bastoni a two-match ban, for their protests after Inter’s loss to AC Milan in the derby on Saturday.

This is confirmed by the official report for the matchday from Lega Serie A, which clarifies the punishments received by Inzaghi and Bastoni, as well as a fine to Nerazzurri striker Lautaro Martinez.

The end to the derby was ill-tempered, with Inter players and coaching staff having felt that the Rossoneri equalizer should have been ruled out for a foul in the buildup, while Milan defender Theo Hernandez received a late red card.

The Lega Serie A report states that Inzaghi had made disrespectful remarks to the referee in the tunnel and in the dressing room after the match as he vented his frustrations.

For these outbursts, the coach has received a one-match touchline ban as a €15,000 fine.

Meanwhile, Bastoni is stated to have directed disrespectful comments towards match officials on two occasions after the match, despite having been given a warning to stop.

For these outbursts, the defender has been given a two-match ban.

Lastly, after Rossoneri defender Hernandez was sent off for a reckless challenge on Inter wing-back Denzel Dumfries, Martinez confronted him as he was headed down the tunnel.

According to the report, the incident was looked at along with the federal prosecutors’ office to determine the nature of any infraction, and their analysis of video revealed that he had shouted insulting expressions at Hernandez.

For this infringement the Argentine has been handed a €10,000 fine, though he will not receive a ban for the incident.
