Italian journalist Paolo Condo feels that Sassuolo striker Gianluca Scamacca could be the perfect long-term replacement for Zlatan Ibrahimovic at AC Milan even though the player prefers a move to Inter.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, the journalist noted that the Neroverdi striker is likely to join Inter in the summer, but also suggested that he could be a good fit for their city rivals AC Milan.

Scamacca has been strongly linked to Inter in recent weeks, with the club reportedly working hard to get a deal over the line to sign him during the summer transfer window and the player reportedly keen.

The 22-year-old is seen as having the right profile to spearhead the Nerazzurri’s attack for seasons to come, especially once Edin Dzeko is gone from the club.

However, Condo also believes that the player would be the right man for the Rossoneri were they to be able to sign him ahead of Inter.

“For Milan, I think Scamacca is the first name that comes to mind to replace Ibrahimovic,” he said. “The Rossoneri need a young and top-quality player. But I think Gianluca is more focused on joining Inter.”
