Inter managed to keep Roma from scoring in their win over the Giallorossi in the Coppa Italia yesterday evening, just as important as their two goals.

This was the first time that the Nerazzurri have kept a clean sheet in the competition in more than four years, showing just how significant their defensive display was.

This fact was highlighted by football statistics account Opta in a post on their Twitter account.

They captioned the post, “2017 – Inter have kept the clean sheet in a Coppa Italia home match for the first time since December 2017 (0-0 against Pordenone back then, with the following victory after the penalty shoot-outs). Locked.”
