Inter forward Alexis Sanchez could remain at the club beyond the end of this season given how impressive he has been in recent weeks, according to a report in the Italian print media today.

As has been reported today by Corriere dello Sport, it was previously expected that Alexis Sanchez would leave the club in June despite still having a year remaining on his contract.

This is because he was regularly injured and is one of the team’s highest earners, pocketing €7 million per season until June 2023.

In recent weeks though he has been scoring important goals and showed that he is excellent in rotation with Lautaro Martinez and Edin Dzeko.

Both the club and the fans are growing increasingly fond of the Chilean and they may choose to keep him, especially if this season ends with at least one trophy.

Whilst Inter wait for Joaquin Correa and Felipe Caicedo, he is exceeding expectations.
