Former Napoli coach Edy Reja has said that Luciano Spalletti’s side are the only team that can stop Inter from winning the Scudetto this season, according to a report in the Italian broadcast media today.
Speaking during an interview with Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli, via FCInter1908, Edy Reja explained that whilst Luciano Spalletti may not like to hear him say it, only Napoli can keep Inter from taking the crown at the end of the season.
The former Lazio coach cites the fact that Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa and Kalidou Koulibaly will be returning from the squad after the Africa Cup of Nations.
“If I say that Napoli is Inter’s only competitor then Spalletti sends me to that country, but I think so. With the returns of the African players, I say that Napoli is the only team that can throw Inter away from the Scudetto.”
Speaking more specifically about the catch between Inter and Napoli that will take place on Saturday evening, Edy Reja said that Napoli will face a team who may be tired and will wait and see how the game goes.
“Inter spent energy on Tuesday, they were tough with Roma and Napoli will find a wait-and-see team. Napoli will play a great game and as a blue fan I say that the important thing will be not to lose.”
That match kicks off in Napoli at 18:00 local time on Saturday.
