Inter are growing more hopeful that Alessandro Bastoni will recover from injury in time to face Napoli on Saturday, according to a report in the Italian broadcast media.

As has been reported this evening by Sky Sport Italia, via FCInternews, the Italian defender trained by himself on Thursday rather than with the team but it is still positive that he was training at all.

He is suspended for the match against Napoli regardless of his injury which means he can focus entirely on getting fit for Wednesday’s Champions League clash with Liverpool.

Joaquin Correa and Robin Gosens will not be involved due to their respective injuries. Either Danilo D’Ambrosio or Federico Dimarco will take the place of Alessandro Bastoni for the match away at Napoli.

The young defender has become a key player for Simone Inzaghi and the former Lazio coach will not want to face Liverpool without him on Wednesday.
