Italian journalist Mario Sconcerti has said that the points gap between Juventus and Inter may be too difficult for the Bianconeri to close, according to a report in the Italian broadcast media today.
Speaking during an interview on TMW Radio, Mario Sconcerti explained that the eight point gap will be very difficult to close but he does think they will improve as the season continues.
“In the last three months, Juventus have recovered one point from Inter, who have one game less. Recovering eight will be very difficult because that is three games. I can’t imagine Juve in the lead.
“Surely it’s an interesting team, which is forming and can do well in the Champions League, as well as entering the Champions League places. Inter losing in Naples would also reopen the discussion for Juve.”
Juventus have signed Dusan Vlahovic and Denis Zakaria during the January transfer window and they both scored on their debut against Hellas Verona.
Mario Sconcerti also discussed Inter’s huge match against Napoli this Saturday in which the Azzurri will be hoping to overtake Simone Inzaghi’s team in the table despite Inter’s game in hand.
The Italian journalist thinks it will be a great match and both teams will have to be on top form if they are to win the game and take all three points.
“It’s an important match, the gap is minimal. I think it will be a great match. Inter have slipped with the loss to Milan but they started well again against AS Roma. I think it will be a good match, to win they will have to play well.”
