Inter boss Simone Inzaghi must decide if he is going to start with Alexis Sanchez or Lautaro Martinez in the match against Napoli on Saturday evening, according to a report in the Italian print media today.
As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Lautaro Martinez has struggled for form so far in 2022, finding the net just once. That was from the penalty spot against Juventus in the Supercoppa Italiana final.
He has been in good form for Argentina though which makes the decision harder for Simone Inzaghi. Alexis Sanchez on the other hand has impressed recently.
He scored a wonderful goal against AS Roma in the Coppa Italia earlier this week and the coach may decide to continue with him alongside Edin Dzeko against Napoli on Saturday.
That would likely leave Lautaro Martinez with the opportunity to start against Liverpool in the Champions League on Wednesday night at San Siro.
