Inter-linked Ajax goalkeeper Andre Onana feels that he has a very intense demeanour when he’s playing or training.

Speaking to Franch news outlet L’Equipe, the Cameroonian opened up about what he feels is a strongly committed attitude when he’s playing, ahead of his summer move to Inter.

Onana is the Nerazzurri’s designated long-term successor to Samir Handanovic in goal, and the 25-year-old is all set to make the switch from Ajax on a free transfer during the summer transfer window.

The Cameroonian has shown the technical qualities to take up the mantle from Handanovic during his time with Ajax, and is also at an age where he can hold down the possession for a decade or longer potentially.

Just as importantly as these, however, the keeper also feels that he has the right mentality to compete in matches for a top club where the pressure is always on like Inter.

“I go through training and matches so intensely that they I’m exhausted I sit in the locker room and the pressure drops,” he said. “It’s difficult to have little to do for ninety minutes and then be ready the moment you’re called upon, but it allows you to really connect with the team.”
