Alexis Sanchez looks set to drop to the bench in favour of Lautaro Martinez for Inter in this evening’s Serie A clash with Napoli.
This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the Argentine will start in attack alongside Edin Dzeko in the massive head-to-head clash.
Sanchez started against Roma in the Coppa Italia during the week and scored a brilliant goal to seal the Nerazzurri’s win, but he will be used as an option from the bench rather than the start against the Partenopei.
Meanwhile, Felipe Caicedo is fit and will be on the bench for this evening’s match, while the likes of Robin Gosens and Joaquin Correa are still injured and Matias Vecino will also miss the match through a knee injury.
Vecino is only being left out as a precaution, however, and should make his return to the team against Liverpool.
The Corriere’s complete predicted eleven for the match is as follows:
INTER (3-5-2): Handanovic; Skriniar, De Vrij, Dimarco; Dumfries, Barella, Brozovic, Calhanoglu, Perisic; Dzeko, Lautaro.
