Italian journalist Mario Sconcerti feels that this evening’s Serie A clash between Inter and Napoli could truly go either way, but will be a great spectacle no matter the outcome.

Writing in his column in today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Corriere della Sera, Sconcerti emphasized that the two sides’ respective form makes predictions all but impossible.

Inter sit just one point ahead of the Partenopei in the Serie A table, albeit with a game in hand, and the two have been among the outstanding teams in Serie A so far this season.

The head-to-head clash between the pair will be one of each side’s most difficult matches of the season on paper, and in all likelihood will be a very evenly-fought affair.

Sconcerti feels that the match will be close and will turn on a few key moments, writing that “The first thing is not understanding who is better between Inter and Napoli, they are two complete teams, perfect at their own games.”

“Along with with Milan they are the best three teams of the season, but Inter and Napoli are missing less,” he adds, “they seem to have more to them for the long haul.”

Of the Nerazzurri, he writes that “Inter have had a run of form in the winter similar to Napoli in the fall. Inzaghi had the good fortune not to lose too many players compared to rivals.”

“They’ve almost always had the same strongest eleven,” he goes on, “only Denzel Dumfries has taken the place of Matteo Darmian.”

He concludes that “They are two very beautiful and very different teams, both very modern. And two coaches who haven’t won much despite all their good work. Predictions are impossible, but it will be a show.”
