Inter showed spirit and quality to come back for a point against Napoli, but didn’t do enough to earn all three points in the second half of yesterday’s Serie A clash.

This according to the player ratings for assistant coach Massimiliano Farris across Italian media, as reported by L’Interista, which hail his and Simone Inzaghi’s approach for engineering the comeback but note that the team wasn’t fearless enough to go all the way.

The Nerazzurri were immediately put under pressure by a confident, high-tempo Napoli team at the Maradona, and the home side made their pressure count with only a few minutes gone by winning and then scoring a penalty.

It took a while for Inter to get back into the match but especially after halftime they seemed to benefit from a team talk from Farris which saw them begin to deny the Partenopei possession and get into their own rhythm.

They too were rewarded with an early goal, just a couple minutes after the restart, and Farris did well to get them looking like their usual selves, but they didn’t complete a comeback win.

The coach received a 6/10 grade from all of Tuttosport, the Corriere della Sera, the Gazzetta dello Sport, TuttoMercatoWeb, and L’Interista, while the Corriere dello Sport went one better to 6.5/10.
